About the Board
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. The Board is committed to providing quality education to promote intellectual, social, and cultural vivacity among its learners.

About CBSE
Established in 1929, the Board serves over 27,000 schools in India and 240 schools in 28 foreign countries.
Core Objectives:
Standardization
To prescribe conditions of examinations and conduct public examinations at the end of Class X and XII.
Innovation
To define appropriate approaches of academic activities to provide stress-free, child-centered and holistic education.
Examinations
The Board conducts the final examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 every spring. It also conducts the CTET and other entrance tests.
- Annual Board Exams: Typically held in February - April.
- Compartment Exams: Held for students who need a second attempt (usually in July).
- Private Candidates: Direct admission facilities for female candidates and working professionals.
- Verification of Marks: Portal opens 5 days after result declaration.
